As part of a hands-on digital retailing project, I developed a functioning Shopify e-commerce storefront that showcased my understanding of online merchandising, brand identity, and digital user experience. Responsibilities included:
Website Setup & Customization: Created and configured a Shopify store from scratch, customizing the theme, homepage layout, and product collections to align with a consistent brand aesthetic.
Product Management: Added and organized multiple product listings, including writing compelling product descriptions, uploading images, setting prices, and managing inventory levels.
Content Strategy: Designed brand messaging, category pages, and policy content (e.g., About Us, Shipping & Returns) to enhance shopper trust and experience.
Customer Experience Optimization: Structured intuitive navigation and layout for mobile and desktop responsiveness, improving user flow and engagement.
Marketing Integration: Connected the store to mock promotional campaigns and utilized Shopify’s built-in SEO and analytics tools to simulate digital marketing efforts.
This project demonstrated my ability to apply classroom concepts in a real-world digital retail environment using Shopify, and strengthened my skills in e-commerce operations, branding, and customer journey design.
